Crop the list

Writing an SOP in a generic format will not help you. Study the university in detail and the faculties teaching there. Relate works done or papers written by them to the course you will be applying for. Mostly in universities, there are multiple research papers going on at a time. Find them, study them, and try to relate them correspondingly to your course. It will actually show Admission Committee how dedicated you are to this.
